Searching for prices/workers- Webpage Code-CSS

Hi,

I am breaking the rules for posting, I don’t have a monitory offer, rather I need to get an idea of how much it will cost for someone to update our webpage. The company owner wants to hire a local designer he met… I would rather not so I need to give him some options.

We are working on a 36 page web structure. We have a layout already created. We are in the process of putting our content into .doc’s as we want it on the page. We want someone to add the code to the content to make it web ready and also to fix-up our code to function the best. Layout suggestions are also welcome but not a main thing right now.

I would prefer the page to be in .css so I can edit them later, but I also want it to be very backwards compatible for older browsers. To achieve this other language suggestion or other options are welcome. Since I was making the code for the current layout in .css and then adding in depreciated HTML elements to work in the older browsers- the existing script and pages are both pretty clunky.

We likely will not have the content ready for about 2 week. I really just want an idea of the cost and to see what you think of the plan. You can submit your bid and we will contact you back when we have all the content, or if I can also just repost the job for firm bids once the content is done.

For any decent work, I'd say about $10-15 per page. Striping MS-Word styling is a ***** and a half. But, once you have the base CSS, it should be easy to make all of the pages look consistent. Let me know if you need any help. :thumbsup:

I think its alright for this thread to be here to get a quote, that seems resonable to me :).

What exactly are you looking for... a re-design, re-coding to CSS to look the current page or CSS coding into a new design provided by you.

Either way, You would be looking at around $250-500 per page depending on content.

I guess I'd look at this as two processes. One would be creating a standard template for the site, which would take 10 - 15 hours. The other would be intergrating content for individual pages, which would take 20 - 40 mins / page.

Given a typical development rate of $75 / hour, thats about $1000 for the template and about $40 / page.

The prices will break approximately as follows:
* if you have a template (designed + coded already) and need to have additional pages based on the template created - the price is $10-$15 per page;
* if you need a psd coded - $25-$30 per coding of the design + $10-$15 per additional page.
* if you need the page designed/ redesigned - $150-$200 per design + $25-$30 per coding, + $10-$15 per additional page.
