i have an external text file with all the text differences in my page(classes), and i want to be able to change any old text to this certain text.. but i dont wan to use another object/html thing to do this
which looks like this..

<h1 class="hello">hello</h1>

i want to know how to make it with any old text, not in an atrrubute..i think it might have somthing to do with the div or the span thing.

<class="name">this text will have the settings for class name</?*>

The text file you refer to is better known as a .css file.
This is where you create all your class definitions that are going to be used on your page or pages.

In every page that is going to access these class definitions you place

<LINK href="Name.css" rel=stylesheet type=text/css>

in the HEAD section where Name is the path and or name of your style sheet.

All you have to do then is add the class name to whatever HTML tag you require the attribute to effect.

<DIV class="Your Class Name">Hello World</DIV>

<SPAN class="Your Class Name">Hello World</SPAN>

<P class="Your Class Name">Hello World</P>
