I am starting to wrap-up the creation of another site, and would like some feedback. I know the code is not 100% valid yet, I have to take the time to sort through wordpress and find the error, but mainly I just want to know what people think. Idea on how to improve the site, etc.

Thanks in advance,
Brett

Looks nice.

There is something in your design that is making a horizontal scrollbar appear on 800x600, I dont think its your total width of 779px.. I have noticed lately the difference between Firefox, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, & Opera on how they treat margins and padding.. some extend the fullsize and some dont.. I think I resolved this recently in one of my designs by using "max-width:779px" you know.

I don't like the font of the messages. You seem to be mixing fonts. Stick to one font. The date could be a little darker. I like what you did with the header.

Looks very good, I really like it.

I think it may look better if you change all the font to Verdana, but not hugely. I like the main banner and basically all the images you have used :) .
When I click on the different sections of the site in the nav bar though nothing happens. Is this part not finished or is there an error?

Thanks for the advice. No the links at the top are not active yet... sorry I forgot to mention that. I will be switching the fonts to all one type face... It was originally like that, but when i switched the design to a WordPress theme, they got messed-up. Thanks again!

Nothing groundbreaking but nice overall.

The top links. How are you loading the image rollovers? I didn't look into the code so I'm thinking a little javascript vs. css. There is a slight load delay on roll over. if css not sure why. if javascript that would explain it. using a simple background position in the css on the links would cure it.

the sidebar background doesn't line up. it breaks in the "recently" heading section. A little fix is needed for that.

On your post headings i think you need to give a little space to the bottom. the drop letters sit right on the red underline. either that or make the bottom border a span and negative margin it so that the letters drop through it.

more right margin needs to be given to side bar text. it lays right on the image side. looks like it's getting cut off. not a good look.

make the footer look like the header. the red box looks a little ehh...

thjere are more issues but thats a start.

CSS.

@brett7481: Very nice job, mate. Also liked the organization of your CSS.
