Well you went about the wrong way when you coded your layout. Your layout is a simple two column layout that needs no absolute positioning whatsoever. http://bonrouge.com/2c-hf-fixed.php
I have a good feeling that the absolute positioning is causing your problems.

So you recon if i made it relative it be better?

Ok i'll give that a shot, now the other strange thing is the error is only in ie not ff whys this anyone know? Dont just tell me its because ie sucks because i already know that

Read the article that Aero showed you. There is probably no positioning necessary at all. No absolute, no relative... nothing.

Also "ie sucks" is the best advice someone can give you... at least in combination with the advice that you should code for/check Firefox at first and then fix what's wrong in IE.

I would STRONGLY recommend that you check your code often in multiple browsers. It's a lot easier to catch something early on or when you've just made a few changes than if you discover at the end of a large project "whoops, this doesn't work in IE / Firefox / Opera / Konquerer / Safari / whatever".

(I'm not implying that you are suggesting otherwise, just making a general point)

Check often and check in at least 3 browsers. If you have access to a Mac, I would suggest Safari as the third (Firefox and IE being the two obvious ones). I check in Opera as the third myself when I don't have access to a Mac, and then every once in a while on Konquerer under Linux since it has much in common with Safari.
