Hi,
Stripped out all the sound and moved navigation menu.

You could have kept this in the original thread (just to let you know).
As for the site. It seemed okay to me. Not too cluttered though it was a bit slow on my end (could be a concern for those on dial-up like myself).
It was clean and easy to read. I'm not sure about the color scheme though, I didn't find it bad, but for such a specific site, you might want to look into highlighting the grey areas with a bit more of the purple and black, just to give it a little extra pop so to speak. I didn't look at the code, figure someone else will get into that.

Thanks.
I needed to know about dialup rates. I can step back the resolution in
the images to make the scenes load faster.
Regarding the coding--there isn't any at all! I'm using SwishMAX.
I'll give the color "punch" some thought.
I used a new post so the people who replied in the original would see that
there is a new version taking into account the comments they made.

At the end of the day - you're a dentist not a multimedia design company. I dont personally think this website does anything for your company.

Hi NancyJ,
Thanks for the comments in the original post. I removed all the sound.
I wasn't pleased with it either--so, no sense of loss here.
At the end of the day I'm a professional poker player. Perhaps we'll
run into each other someday in a $10,000 buyin no-limit holdem game.
Sure beats writing code.
So ends my backward compatibility check of the site. My thanks to
all who replied.

I agree... i felt like i was looking at some sort of flashy image gallery instead of a dentist's site.

Made masthead change. Should leave no doubt this is a dental site.

well... you see it wasn't the wording that was the problem... it was the overall feel of the site. i would look at some other dentist's and doctor's websites to try and get some inspiration.
when i said it felt like a flashy image gallery... i could have said maybe that it felt like i was looking at a screen on some cheap sci-fi movie or old video game.
I just clicked around the site a little... i think maybe you should consider using the kind of approach you have on your facility page on the whole design... the inside part of this page is what made me say "dentist"
Oh... and that fuscia color you're using for the big words on the side... oh... that definately has to change. it completely clashes with the maroon bg.

Hey Trendybox,
Took your comments to heart and made some design changes. Take a look
and see if this is along the lines you were thinking of.

Have you tried looking at this on a Mac? I don't know what the deal is but when I used Safari to look at it the main content was like 25 pixels high. It did work fine on the Mac in Firefox however.
and as it is using flash, i dont know if it can do well with search engines.
i dont find good content outside the flash to be considered by them.
A friend send me this article about how search engines can actually extract content from a SWF if it is done right...granted it doesn't work as well and can have unexpected results...but is somewhat possible.

Hi Archangel,
If it's not too much hassle, could you give me a screenshot of a Safari view?
email is robert.paulsen@comcast.net
And, thanks for the link--I bookmarked it.

I must say that I still really don't like it :S
I guess it is the effect you are looking for thoughm (the TV Commercial), it just seems really cheapy to me, and the pictures on the left are really low quality. It just seems to me, no offense, that this would be a dental clinic that doesn't have a high reputation or a lot of clientele, I think that a regular looking webpage instead of something that fills the whole page or w/e would look better.

Hi MitaDC,
Thanks for the review.
Changed some of the gradients. That might help.
Yeah, all the images got stretched out of shape during redesign. Need
to resize, recrop and reload!
