View Full Version : Going from phpnuke to something compatible... which one??

I'm moving my site to another server, but they offer different software than the php-nuke 7.5 I use now. I can choose one (or all) of the following installed software: Mambo, Xoops, or PostNuke.

I'm determined to move because I'd get more features for less cost, so now it's just a matter of preserving as much of the site as possible. Currently, I'd like to be able to keep/convert/transfer the following from phpnuke to one of the above named CMS: forums (low priority), downloads using EDL 1.7 module (medium priority), and membership/logins (high priority).

So here's my question(s): Which one of the 3 has these features (forums, downloads) and can my phpnuke data be transferred/converted to it? (I am XHTML/HTML, CSS, and semi-PHP literate, in case you need to know if I can handle something less user-friendly than phpnuke.)

I haven't used anything else other than php-nuke, so I really need inputs on which CMS can do what I need, and needs to be one that can handle the transfer/conversion.

Thanks!
