Hello I was wondering why this was happening. I have a program that checks the amount of vertial memory that I am currently using. When I open up the program on my desktop it tells me how much vertual memory that I am using or have used. When I open the program on a computer with windows ebeded, it opens up a box that is titled "Windows Script Host Settings" Does anyone have any suggestions as why this file won't open on xp embeded but will open on regular xp. The file type is .vbs which I think stands for VBscript.

I'm not completely sure as to why but:
Windows embedded (or OTHER application and windows) is not really meant for any other use outside of the additional application. Meaning its not your ordinary windows meant for daily use. For instance, Agilis is an application that is used throughtout financial institutions. It is the software that powers many atm machines. However Agilis cannot run independently on its own. It is dependent of a Operating System, therefore they embed XP in order to give Agilis a working enviroment.
So whatever embedded windows you are working with may not (more than likely does NOT) have the files used that are on your desktop. It simply has the bare necessaties that allow the primary program to run. Any clearer? And a .vbs is a vbscript type file.
