View Full Version : Annoying post - My apologies

I will work in trade for the answer to this question. I am a web designer, never a developer. I am having serious issues with doing a simple freeking contact form. I have exhausted google in search of the answer, godaddy is worthless.

Dreamweaver mx
Hosted with godaddy (asp/windows server)

I built a simple question base, name subject email comments.

I see people posting free script but have no idea what to do with it and if it will sync up with godaddys gdform.asp.

in Properties Inspector for the form in the action field I have "gdform.asp" and set up as "post"

in a hidden field(s) I have
name is "subject" value "contact"
name is "redirect" value "thankyou.htm"
name is "recipient" value "jacksmiley@neb.rr.com"

When I do this I get an oops page with the directory of /gdform.asp, since my redirect is thankyou.htm why is that not showing up.

Am I just typing something in wrong?

Or simply scratch all that and tell me what script to put in where and how to sync it with godaddy. I've spoke with them numerous times and they are completly worthless, i seriously get different answers for the same question.

THANK YOU, and again Sorry.

Have you tried using the absolute path for the thankyou page url?

yeah. what confuses me most is that in the directory on the error page after hitting submit it says..../gdform.asp.

Should I try adding in the Action area...gdform.asp/url to thankyou.htm?

Is your form submitting correctly?
