suggestions for a Band's website

hey everyone, I am not part of this band, so don't just tell me the music sucks, because it's not my style of music either, i prefer something harder.. but yeah, comment on the whole look and design of the site as the most important thing, but i'll pass on messages about their music or you can tell them in the guestbook if you want though..

i just did it for fun and a hobby to try to improve my skills, so here's the site:

It's not bad, design wise; but the coding... no doctype / table-based layout / errors (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Flastcheckout.auxohost.com%2Findex.html) ! :(

I feel the header text needs changing too - looks a bit tacky IMO at the moment.

As said, design is not bad, but if you really want to 'improve your skills' you need to ditch the tabled layout, learn CSS, and learn how to write a webpage 'the modern way'.

w3schools (http://www.w3schools.com/) has some good info to get you started.

hmm.. thanks.. good advice, i've seen you giving comments about the 'modern way' before, so gues i'll look into it..but where about's is it? i mean which section? i use css stylesheets, but don't really know anything about not using tables..

that validation webstie is pretty good too, i'm actually suprised it doesn't have the 'doctype' on the page, guess i should fix that, maybe it's because i kept chaning how i was editing it.. thanks for that.. anything else then anybody else?

it's actually an automation in photoshop.. just had to change the colours and stuff and put it into my page.. lol.. sorry to disappoint you.. but yeah if you have photoshop you can make one...
