Hey guys,
I got to make another template, this one for a generic weblog. They let me select the classes and IDs which will be part of the dynamic output.
I like this design a lot better than that other one. This one should be a lot more stable. The client likes it. It meets their requirement for something fun.
It consists of two template page with all the goodies they'll need. Get to the second page via the "Test Article Four" link/heading.

Looks good, very colourful and appealing to women which I guess is what you was after.
I immediately thought the background was a bit 'eurgh', but as I look at the site more it seems to feel less out of place!
I can imagine the site being very easy to read through as well which is a good thing - don't want the readers' concentration affected by in-your-face graphics/images.
Overall I can't really fault it too much! I can see a lot of effort has been put into it. :)

Thanks Mark, those are some colors, huh?
I think I'm going to create a second set of colors/images for the site to bring it down some. They might want to add a style changer when all's said and done.

Yea that sounds good, perhaps something with far less yellow in and more pinks?

As a women I find that offensive ;) Strong colour-wheel opposites rarely look good together.
Without the background it would probably look OK. But overall there are too many colours, I cant think of a colour that isnt in there somewhere.
But your client likes it and theres no accounting for client taste ;) Thats the most important thing.

Hey guys,
I made another version. A lot less colorful, but still hopefully "fun."

Alright then... :o
Anyhow, the new design... I prefered the old one to be honest! And the background stops halfway @ 1280x1024.

That's cool, assuming of course the background doesn't end abruptly... or does it?

It does end abruptly.

Thanks for that Mark. That tapers to #ccc so the background *should*match now. Hopefully.

one thing : you have the same font on every site youve ever made.

Hehe, close. There are only a handful of websafe fonts that I can use. Trebuchet is the nicest of the sans-serif fonts in my opinion, so I use it a lot. Each time it's unique for the site's owner, if you follow me, even if it's not unique for you, others who've seen much of my work, and myself.
I do use other font, though, for the record...
Websafe Georgia by default:
http://gbhxonline.com/
http://dantespasta.com/
Websafe Verdana by default:
http://tolerodevelopment/
http://sceptrecustomhomes.com/
Not websafe Century Gothic (apple crisp) style:
http://accessites.org/settings/?accessitesCSS=applecrisp
...but, yeah, the rest are Trebuchet, at least in their default settings. My OLD portfolio has a bunch of fonts in its 12 or so style sheets: http://green-beast.com/portfolio/

Interesting you should say that Green Beast, I think Trebuchet has some pretty bad kerning issues.
Take consectetuer adipiscing, the 'tet' and 'dipisc' parts of that phrase are so messed up when compared to other sans fonts (an effect which becomes particularly obvious at the size you are using it on this site).
It's a shame because I'd like it a lot if it weren't for that.

Yeah, Pennimus, you're right. It does look funky at times, the kerning is out of whack, worse on mine probably because I mess with letter spacing with probably exacerbates the issue.
