Hi,
My site was originally going to be redesigned over a year ago. I made a layout that I liked. Then many months after that, I made an even better layout. After many more layouts/designs, I finally started coding it and here it is!

Link (it will redirect, so gooogle doesnt find it):
http://tinyurl.com/ru3tn

I tested it in Firefox, IE, and Opera on XP.

Suggestions please. Let me know if it works in your browser.

Bit too many hyphens there, you know you can have just 1 hyphen and Google wouldn't find it and it would be a lot easier for people to review your site.

Okay overall look, nothing special. Seems a bit run of the mill. Some specific points;

1) Label your theme changers, unexplained buttons are confusing.
2) I don't like the way the header and footer are wider than the content.
3) Not enough (as in none) padding on submit/search buttons.
4) Don't centre align your text content, it looks bad and is difficult to read.
5) Navigation buttons are images; the text is too small to be comfortable and I have good eyesight. Someone with sight problems likely won't be able to see these properly and won't be able to resize them as they are images. You can achieve the rollover effects using text and css with background images, there is no reason to use images as text here (in fact there is almost never a reason to use images for text).

1) If I label it, then it wouldn't look as good IMO. They have titles though.
2) Well, that's the look I was aiming for. :o
3) The padding seems fine for me. What browser are you using?
4) Actually, it's only centered because the filler content is lyrics.
5) Good suggestion. I'll try to make it a little bigger. I'm using an image because I like the font.

Thanks for the review. :)

I don't mind it, works for me

The graphic images for the menu look like just that, look cheap to me, perhaps a bit too small and certainly a bit fuzzy. sort it

The main banner at the head surely needs more oomph, looks very minimal and even simple at the moment

Like the text, nice and clear

Personally, I don't like the way the navigation is made: the text on it is hard to read, and the blue line isn't helping, either. The banner seems out of place on the light theme. The dark theme is too dark, on the other hand.

I think it is very well basically, but some font types are not well read. Some people may not be able to see the text correctly. I mean the text in the images. I like the dark and light stuff. It's cool. Your logo should fit the table better. I mean, you don't really pay alot of atention to it with light, but with dark you notice that and it is very weird.

Yeah, I'll definately do something about the menu font. I'll make it more readable.

The header image is temporary. I was just experimenting with certain looks.

The header and the footer are supposed to "stick out". That's the way I designed it.

ns1987: What blue line are you talking about?

Thanks for all the suggestions. By the way, what browsers did you use?
