Well, I just completed the initial release of my project, The Clan Net (http://theclannet.com), and I wanted to thank the people that have helped me out with it. Also, thanks to the people in the apache forum. The clan URLs would never work without you.
For those that are curious, The Clan Net is basically like a MySpace for online gaming clans, where clans can get free websites and compete against each other.
Also, I've tried to test my site pretty thoroughly, but I'm not perfect, so if anyone wants to check it out and report any bugs, problems, or suggestions they have, that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

As much as I hate to say it, first of all because I really don't like the look of clan sites, your site really doesn't look like one. Your site is clean, nice, and easy to read (unlike most clan sites), but it really looks a little too formal and businessy. It really doesn't look like a gaming site to me, but that is just my opinion. Hey, it looks good though.

I agree, it doesnt look like a gaming network site. It looks like a cheap hosting site - BUT some very small tweaks could make it look really great.
Firstly, you need a better banner, something snazzy that says 'gamer'. Remember your target audience - people used to extreme visual stimulation. You're also dealing with a high proportion of boradband users - serious online gamers just cant compete on dial-up, this gives you more leeway when it comes to filesize - I'm not saying you should go OTT and make a 100k animated flash banner but you dont have to be ultra conservative.
Secondly - your navigation needs work. The text size is different on all the links and the drop shadow makes it look cheap. Also a little rollover effect goes a long way.
IMO the mid-blue background isnt doing to any favours either, I'd try punching it out with a flat black or brightening it up with the pale yellow.
Like I said, overall its OK, but a few small changes could make a big difference

Ditto what NancyJ said. I would also suggest having the layout be consistent on every page. Currently the outside td's move in and out depending on how big the center td is. I find this distracting. I suggest you have every page fill out the browser window. It will give the illusion of faster load times and allow the user to focus on content instead of the layout. :)
