try http://www.digitaleyesandears.com/testing/One/index.html .... Are you saying that all you see is a grey background? No picture or anything?

But yes the background is just grey. Does it go well with the photos?

I see a grey background with a black box in the middle with a photograph in it.

Well, if this is going to be your main site, I would definatly change it. I have no idea what I'm looking at when I first visit the site.

If however, this is just a sub page that will be clearly marked "Photo Gallery", then I think it's pretty good. I would just add a title or something.

Let us know what it's going to be, and we can give you a bit more feedback.

Hey brett this is my main site. My goal is to create a basic site that "just shows my pictures" I didn't want to create a real wordy website. Is it hard to udnerstand? Or navigate the diffrent pictures?

I son't think it's that hard to navigate, but I would suggest adding some wording to the site. If I were to stumble upon this site I would have difficulty understanding what it is there for. I would maybe add a small blurb on the page somewhere about yourself, and the purpose of the site. It doesn't have to be large or wordy, but just something that says, "This is who I am, and this is why you want to look at my cool pictures".

I would also definatly add some sort of title to the page, again nothing big.

Maybe something like this: Snapping Life Smaple (http://www.madseason.co.uk/images/snapping_life.jpg).

Just my two cents.

I can see where it's going (the minimalist photographer portfolio idea) but I'm not so sure about it. I definately think the font needs changing to possibly a serif font, and I'd be interested to see how a black background works.

Edit, well I tried out the black background myself and I feel it looks much better - but of course that's my opinion. Click image to see larger version if you like.

I also think brett7481 has a good idea with the title/header.

I think the page is really bland. Try giving it some color and some descriptions to the pictures.

I have no problem with the minimalist photographer thing - but theres really nothing there to comment on.

Hey guys thanks for your comments. I will check out the black background and see what that looks like. As far as a header title what do you mean? When I think of title I think of the title way up top?? Thanks so much for the comments :)
