I was wondering what the price would be on getting DSL in my Area...
I live about 1 mile from the main road and have no DSL Equipment, and so what do you think the price on getting DSL would be? If you need more information, let me know!

Well first you have to find out if it is even available in your area. You will typically need to live within so many miles of the NOC of the company who provides it. The connection speed degrades after so many miles. I know I live right outside of the max range of the DSL provider where I live so I couldn't get it. Of course I got cable modem access instead which is much better anyways.

ok, Considering Spookster's Reply.. I'd like to change my question to concern Cable... What are the Pro's And Con's of Cable? I'd like anything besides my old 56k which SERIOUSLY only gets 1.5 KBS.
Anyone know anything about Cable from DirectTV? They offered it to us and I'd like to know the quality on it!

well first of all, you should really choose an isp to go with. second you need to see if cable is in your area, then to get a good price compare prices with different isps (internet service providers) to find a good one. when you register they will (depending on the isp) will come to your house and cable the cable internet. they will supply you with the cable broadband modem and instructions.
hope this helps :D
