Hi,
I am toying with the idea of writing a multicast application for use by the general public.
Does anyone know (or where should I look to get the information on) how many IPv4 Level 2 hosts and routers there are on the net, as compared to Level 1 and Level 0? (Level 0 and 1 hosts and routers will be no good to me because level 0 doesn't support multicast UDP at all, and level 1 can only send).
On that note, does anyone have any opinions on how soon we'll all be using IPv6 as standard? (the sooner the better I say! - none of this sub-byte masking or NAT faff that we have in IPv4 ...).
Mike.
