Contracts for Web Designers

I've want to put together a contract for my clients to sign before I start a project with general terms and conditions on it - has anyone got any suggestions of what to put on there or even better a sample contract I could use for ideas?

Take a design fee from the customer before you do any work.
there is nothing worse than spending hours producing a full colour design template only to be told "thanks but no thanks".
Then the rest on a pre determined completion date.
