Spookster 10-11-2002, 09:36 PM Assembly. Grrrr. :D Java is also free. Bosko 10-11-2002, 10:17 PM Lol.Officially an Assembler is used for Assembly (not a compiler). jkd 10-11-2002, 10:45 PM Java? C# (.NET Framework is free, and comes with a C# compiler)? Why not C++? If you are willing to use scripting languages, you can have some great stuff, like Ruby and Python for example. If you were a masochist who likes bad languages, Perl is always a choice too. My university though thought it was a good idea to torture us with a semester of it. whackaxe 10-12-2002, 11:45 AM spookster, i said easy! assembly is has the most god awefulll learning curve (or cliff) i have ever seen! i dont get it. at all. thanks for the suggestion anyways. isnt kylix for linux? i forgot to say im on windows :( maes 10-12-2002, 12:28 PM maybe you'll find something here (http://www.thefreecountry.com/developercity/pascal.shtml) or here (http://www.freebyte.com/programming/delphi/) whackaxe 10-12-2002, 12:51 PM thanks maes, the second suggestion was great! have to wait for delphi to finish downloading now... Bosko 10-12-2002, 02:03 PM Delphi is a modern (OO,GUI etc.) version of Pascal.Kylix is just the Linux/GNU version of Delphi. |
