My opinion: too bland. Nothing moves, no mouseovers, pretty much all white save a few graphics. At least have a link mouseover or two.

No. Thats not necessary. Site is not intended to be annoying with flashing images and popups.

Thats not what I mean, popups are horrible, flashing images are too. But a simple image rollover here or there looks proffesional.

Theres a difference between user feedback (link rollovers) and annoying flashing gifs - which you do have.
You say you want feedback but it seems like all you really want is free advertising for yet another pixel ad site.

...yeah, strange that - what with this being a web developement forum. Its a link to my personal portfolio, not a comercial venture - I dont need to advertise my website - its not that kind of site.

Right, i'm sure by putting your link you are hoping that someone might contact you regarding a project or website. Your expectations of your site may be lower than mine, but you do have expectations of making some money on the side.
Besides, who cares, if it bothers you, don't reply. If you don't have any comments about the page, don't reply.
You seem bitter to me. Thats how I interpret it, just like you interpret my post as being for advertising.

When I enter the site, I think immediately that the site is an advertisment site. Nothing fancy with your site but it looks fine.

Yes, you are correct. The main page ( www.milliondollarvegasparty.com ) will be filled with ads, and then the twist of the site is that there are incentives for the members ( the party, cars, cameras, etc )
Yeah, I tried not to make it too fancy, or bogged down, so it runs smooth, especially on the main page because its going to load sllloowww with all the images.
lol, anyways, thanks for the comments.

I have no expectations of making money on the side with my site, I have a very good job and I'm payed extremely well. This site is *mainly* for web developers, so if the intention was to advertise my services, it would be very poorly targetted.
You may think I'm bitter - you're entitled to that opinion, as I am entitled to the opinon that you dont care about comments about your site, you have no intention of changing anything and you just want some free advertising. I have formed this opinion based on the fact that you have flippantly dismissed every comment and peice of advice given to you so far.

Well, even though you don't seem to care about the feedback given, I'll post mine anyway.
I agree with the previous statements that a mouseover for the links would improve the site... this does not have to be done with images, you could just change the a:hover color in the CSS.
Also, you've layed your site out with tables... I don't like that, and search engines won't either.
Besides that it's pretty good. Some of your images are a little grainy, and I personally don't like the animated gifs.
On a side note, I would suggest that if you ask for a review of your site again in the future, you show respect for those taking their time to look at your site. Even if you don't intend to implement their suggestions, thank them for the feedback.

I agree with the others completely. I'd add a:focus and a:active as well a a:hover to the CSS. You have animated gifs so the your argument has no merit. Rollovers simply make the site more user-friendly.
I'll also agree with Nancy in that it doesn't really *seem* like you're looking for reviews but have other motivations.
