View Full Version : Refresh problem?
I have a 'a.cfm' file, where the content has already been overwrite by a new one, but the file name still remain the same. But when I try to link 'a.cfm' from other file, it shows OLD content, instead of the new one. But once I right click and refresh the page, the new content shows up.
why is that happening? can anybody help? Thanks.

Hi,
This behavior is because Your .cfm does not set page expiration headers... Don't know how this is done in Cold Fusion, but it is certainly possible...
Other ways:
First, try to clear Your browsers cache...
If You are using a proxy, the problem may be there - even with expiration headers sent, some proxies will not honor them in order to save bandwidth to the provider... Try to change the proxy server if You can... Take in mind that some providers do the so called transparent proxying... they just direct all HTTP traffic through a proxy and their clients could not be aware of this...
