I am planning to use an old second computer to validate js and DHTML scripts at the IE4 and NS4.5 - 6.2 level. I cannot remember which windows OS came out with IE4 included. Win95 or Win98. Can anyone tell me? I am obviously a newbie. Have mercy!
Also can anyone tell me which NS versions can co-exist on one OS install?

all NS versions can coexist on one OS, but there can be only one IE on an OS. you can find set it up, so that it seems like there's more than one IE, but as best i can tell, they share libraries, so whichever version is newest, takes precedence, meaning that the "older" versions, tend to act like the newer version. as an example if you try to install IE6 next to IE4, then IE4 will use IE6's javascript interpreter, so things that don't work in IE4, will work in the version of IE4 that you have on your computer.

P.S. If I remember correctly, Win 98 did come with a version of IE 4... but it's been awhile, and I also probably had an updated version when installing my ISP's software at the time... :D
