I actually just posted this same post in the PHP forum. I figured that you ASP buffs could help me out too. Thanks!

"Sorry, about the post on ASP vs PHP, but I am trying to convenience a client of mine to use PHP instead of ASP. I was wondering if anyone has any strong comparsion information on the two languages. Advantages and Disadvantages. I need some good sources to persuade my client towards PHP."

Thanks a million.

Well, they can both do the same things, pretty much. It all depends on what platform, scripting language, the specific scope of the application, etc. that's more appropriate, and the scripting language that you're more comfortable with (since you're developing the site, right?).

And for future reference, instead of cross-posting (which is against the rules of this forum), try posting a question like that in the "other server-side languages/issues" forum.

I'll close this post to avoid confusion. :)
