Hello,

I have been freelancing. I went for an interview recently and they have asked me to email them samples of my work. The work involves design, so they want to see design samples too.

I have a lot of design samples, but many of them haven't been used for clients yet. They are creative, original and I designed these after a lot of brainstorming.

Should I freely email them out to interviewers? I really don't want to show them to a anyone other than my clients. If I don't email them out, the interviewer will not see my best work. If I send them to one company, I might as well send them out to all my interviewers when they ask. My original ideas will be floating around everywhere.

What do designers usually do?

Thanks for any advice.

I noticed many people viewed this post but no replies. I'm talking about copyrights on your work..like protecting your source code. Any advice will be helpful.

On all of the images you sent out ...

Put a light "watermark" across your images and resave them.
Only send them the one's with watermarks. The word across
your images could be "sample" or "www.yoursite.com"
