What is the difference between mywebsite.com/forum and forum.mywebsite.com ?

I am using the first method but if the second one is better I will switch. I assume they are the same.

Just depends on what you want really, there's no real difference.

Perhaps you could hold a poll or something to find out which people prefer, but I personally don't favour one over the other.

Ok...thanks for the reply. My forum is just set up and if the subdomain was better I would want to make the switch soon.
