umm... let see:eek:
I can see that you made it with Dreamweaver. Not bad, but you need better graphics, and a lot more jazz to get the gamers groove on. :p
Ok, let me tell you something...if you ever have a Advertisement place never have it so the advertisers site open in the same browser, make it so that it opens a new browser. Just a lil' tip there.
1) You need to work on your layout
2) You need to work on your graphics
3) You need to make the advertisements more pleasing (I dunno how else to say it)
4) The more times your site changes the more returning visitors you're gonna have.
4a) Last time I visited your site, I was like ohh ok..game site...boring...so I left...now I came back again and guess wat!?!, nothing was changed...so what you need to go is make sure it has frequent changes cause if I went yesterday to your site and saw it was good, and then I go again to recheck it, and I see that it hasn't changed then its most likely that i will not return...same with other visitor...so take this in much consideration...if you like to place my site's link on your site...hit me up with a PM.
5) The "To place ads on site please email ug-play@hotmail.com" link doesn't work.
6) And get getter graphic, get better graphics...
Good Luck with your site!
Thanks,

hmmm...
ok so your audience is people who like to play short games online and will click on advertisements that may or may not lead to sale that you will benefit from
I have to make this next comment because its just poor design - there are 119 errors (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ugplay.com) with your code alone
your css (http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ugplay.com%2F3col_leftNav.css&usermedium=all) seems to have validated ok - but the layout is completely different in opera from ie6
here are a few things I think would improve the site besides cleaning up the code and making it more cross-browser compatible...
since your banner is on a black background - you may want to think about making the site bg black also - this may help to make the font a little more vibrant
I would not use the same kind of font or font design for the page heading as you have in the banner - it kind of yells at you - and it really is kinda too big
I would not use a smaller banner at the bottom of the page - just your copyright statement would suffice with the navigation
the game "thumbnails" are h-u-u-u-ge and the "UG Play News" is not appropriate in that position
I don't think it's a horrible site - just needs some more work - I think the overall css layout concept is good because it's fairly clean and simple - and you probably aren't using half of the classes that are listed in it - but that's ok
I agree with PcMan that you need to change out the ads and that you may need to scale back on some of them...and using a randomizer might not be a bad idea either - change them out regularly and frequently - I've used this script (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/fadeinslideshow.htm) and it's very easy to customize
You may also want to think about making the 3 columns all the same height using faux columns (http://www.positioniseverything.net/articles/onetruelayout/equalheight)
I hope this helps ya :)
