Hello...I recently finished a site & would like a full review on. I designed it all & coded it all. It is mostly html & some php. It is based from a Dreamweaver template that the client wanted changed a little.
I just want every opinion on from the functionality to the layout & design. Let me know if any thing isn't working or seems out of line. I have only tested it in Mozilla & IE 6. Just respond here & let me know what you think or would do differently.
The main thing I would like to know are the images on the index.php in the left hand bottom corner showing up & on the exchange.php are the images showing up. In the index.php left bottom corner there should be a Western Union, Money Gram, E-gold, EMO, eBullion, & Bank of America images. On the exchange.php page there should only be a bigger EMO, E-Gold, & eBullion images.
Thanks everyone!

I don't like it. It looks lacklustre and the font you've used is terrible. It makes no sense to have the date listed twice in the news column, and that column needs more padding.
The top links look funny lined up as they are neither central or left, but somewhere in between the two. And the logo for the site is a bit lost because it sits on the background colour rather than in some kind of panel.

Some of this is repeating what Pennimus just said, but I feel it needs repeating.
I don't like the logo disconnected from the rest of the page. It seems to just float there on the background color.
I don't like the top navigation bar floating like it is. It seems like it needs to be connected to the rest of the page.
The font is a bit ugly. It plays with my eyes and makes me feel like I'm working too hard just to read.
The left bar definitely needs some padding so that the text isn't right against the edges. Also, no need for the dates to be repeated twice for each entry.
When you shrink the window size of IE, due to your tables (and pre tag on home page), once the viewing area is smaller than the size of one of those, the content jumps to below the left bar's content. In FF, the tables and pre tags stick out of the container. A minimum width on either the containers themselves or a width % on your tables (and get rid of the pre on the home page) should fix this problem.
All in all, it's not a really bad site. I think with these corrections, it'll start to look much better. It is a bit bland with the grays, but then again, the actual content of the site and such isn't the most exciting either, haha.

I don't like the font face either, but this is what the client wants so I can't change it. I did however get some padding in the left column so the text isn't against the side. I also removed the double dating. The dating was just stupid on my part. He didn't even notice it...
It looks lacklustreWhat do you mean?
Also what about the images...are they showing up? What would make the images show up when you are looking at the site, but not when I am looking at the site? I have had this happen many times on different sites.
Thanks!

Rename the heading image to something other than banner.gif - your firewall/AV is blocking it.

The client may have specified the font, but it's your job as the web designer to tell the client they are wrong.
And by lacklustre, I mean dull, boring, lacking vitality. It doesn't get me excited about the prospect of exchanging e-currencies. It's all the grey, ya see.

Rename the heading image to something other than banner.gif - your firewall/AV is blocking it.It isn't the banner.gif. It is the images in the lower left hand corner & the E-Gold images on the exchange page. I had this happen on e-commerce site a did a few months back. I tried renaming them & still can't see them. They show up on my localhost but disappear when they are uploaded to live server....

Those images you talk about are showing up for me when I view your site. Not sure about everyone else, but I haven't noticed them "disappearing".
