1. macromedia mx 2004 Is simply a compilation of Flash, Fireworks, Freehand, Dreamweaver (and coldfusion I believe).
2. flash mx. Simply put this is the best way to add animations to your site. Beyond that it is truly becoming a base where people build entire websites and training packages with is as it's programming language (Action Scripting) is becoming more diverse.
3. fireworks. Works very well to help create websites by automating rollover buttons, disjoint rollovers, etc. This is also the top program I use to strip down the size of my images before putting them on the web.
4. coldfusion. Haven't dealt with...sorry.
5. freehand. Freehand is Macromedia's main vector imaging program. Lots of different things you can do, but if I can be honest I've always believed Adobe Illustrator was better.
