phpBB and a News server?

Hello folks...

I have a phpBB2 forum for employees in my firm. They are asking if it is possible to make it into a news-like NNTP server so they can see and respond to messages via e-mail.

Does anyone know of any such integration and if so - the steps to make it work?

dont know much about phpBB , I do know that fudforum has nntp integration ..
