Anyone know a good tutorial explaining the difference between PERT and CPM scheduling techniques? These are formal techniques for developing schedules for software engineering projects. Unfortunately my textbook doesn't explain these very well. :(

PERT CPM
it is event oriented it is activity oriented.
it is based on 3 time estimates: it is deterministic.time
optimistic ,most likely and pessimistic estimates are based on past
data.
time is not realted to costs. time is related to costs.

I'm good, my old record was smaller, :) For swathipanchalam is probably first post but I used to look to see how old is the thread, :)
