View Full Version : Installing Fonts

I tried looking for fonts on my Win98 CD and I couldn't find them. They are probably in some cab file somewhere. Does anyone know where to find all the default fonts so I can install them myself??? I know how to install it but I need the files/folders to install them from.

Have you tried contacting MS for these fonts? or going to their site? I was looking around (especially in the Download section) and I honestly became thrown around not really knowing where or if they'd keep default fonts files at the site. Doing a search might help but directly emailing or contacting would be best.

I doubt very much Microsoft would take the time to answer my question. Since the problem I'm having is with fonts on my IE browser I found this statement from microsoft web site:
"TrueType core fonts for the Web
Web fonts program discontinued
Microsoft's TrueType core fonts for the Web are no longer available for download from www.microsoft.com. "
I did find instructions on the Knowledge Base site but that was for Windows NT and I'm running Win98.
I'm still looking.
Has anyone needed to reinstall their system/web fonts. Maybe someone else has deleted a font(s) by accident and had to reinstall it again and can tell me what he/she did. I'm surprised I couldn't find instructions on Microsoft's site.
