Webserver and CD Possible?

Hi there,

Would it be possible to run static web pages and simple game demo downloads from a cd on my web server?

I run abyss web server, it automatically creates a html directory page when u simply specify a folder. Could I set the folder to my cd drive. The only problem i can think of is the delay when people click a link if the cd hasnt started up. Any ideas? i dont wanna fork out cash for a bigger hdd when i only need static, not dynamic pages and ive got a million cds lying around!

No, I don't beleive you can do this.

you mean you run the server off your pc? if you do, then yeah, you probably could do that, but i don't think it'd be a very good idea, though. it would most likely be slow as hell.
