Onclick does not work on Firefox

Hi, does anybody know how to firefox deals with onclick mouse event. i am trying to use it but it wont work in firefox. please help

what are you doing? using <a onclick="functionname()">click here</a>
maybe posting your onclick code. most possibly it is code written for ie or incorrect code in your function.

Heres the code im using

onclick="location.href('file.html')"

Also, what can i add to this so it the page opens to a new window.
