Norton AV 2004 wont update with live update

i have nortan anti virus 2004 i have the subscription and eveything my virus definistions are all updated i just did it today i always go to the site to update it iv shut down all the nortan stuff and ended the processes its just there other stuff i go to the links it tells me to iv got tons of stuff to try to fix it that it told me to do but it still wont work iv gone to links on there site and links it that and so on but nothing works can any 1 help? heres what it all says when i use the live update:

i dont know whats wrong

I think that LU might be corrupt. Do you have any other symantec products installed and running that use Live update?

I'm definatly not a fan of Norton Antivirus :p

Try installing AVAST antivirus instead :)

I recommend NOD32...:)

I also have AVAST which seems a far superior product to Norton, which I have erased from my computer.

sorry i havent been around but i got avast later the day i posted my post cuse all my other computer has it cuse its the best ever but i had a suscripting for nortan and dident want to wast the money but hey eather spend like $800 for a new computer for being infected or just wast the w/e nortan was and when i did the scan it found 5 visuse and 8 spywear also avast has been rated the best av of last year or this year:thumbsup:
