Creating an easily browsable webpage

I am not exactly sure how to describe what I am trying to do. Basically I want to create a webpage to display a daily cartoon. I am trying to figure out a way where I can just drop in the updated image each day without having to change every link.. ie. forward,back exe. If there is an easy template for this please help.

Is the cartoon just one image, or do you have to click "Next" to go to the next slide, or how does it work? If the cartoon is just one jpg, all you need to do is change the source of the image each day, and involves nothing to do with JavaScript.
