Choosing a pda

I need some help bad. My girlfriend is looking for a pda to use for school. She wants to be able to download files from her pc. What kind of pda should I buy? I am looking to spend $400 (or less). I have been looking at some online and I like the palmOne Tungsten T5. I have been trying to find info online but when you don't have a clue, it's like getting lost in a maze. Personal Preferrence, most are as good as the next... I use a Dell Axim X50. A Good little toy that I wouold be happy to recommend. Mine is a year old, I am certain that they have better models now.
