Embedded media player counter

Hello,

I have an embedded media player at my site but what I would like to do is have a counter that shows how many times the certain file(video) has played. Can this be done? and if yes how would I go about doing something like this.

Your server may have some place that it keeps stats, you can see how many times a file has been viewed. That is probably the best you can do or you can use a hit counter. www.bravenet.com has some free hit counters, it will count the number of users to who go to your page.
