Having changing DIV position to match cursor

Hello. I have a link that pops up a little div (as a popup window), but right now am hard-coding the top/left parameters to put the div on the screen. I'd like it to populate these values based upon the cursor position. Is this possible?

Ok, so maybe not cursor position, but perhaps based on the position of an element on the page? If, for instance, I wanted the popup window to appear 30px RIGHT of the link that I click on.. Possible?
