css on drop-down / <select> box arrow color

Hello folks

i was curious if there's a way to change the color of the arrow on a dropdown box via css:

Here's a photo of a site l found posted on the web, however this section may have been done in flash, and l'm not looking to go the flash route with my application:

Afraid not... Flash might be the only answer here:

You can fake it by using iframes and javascript and what not. I've seen it done, I'll look for that link.
