Page not displaying in IE

Hi,

I'm building a web application, and one of my pages (the login page) will display correctly in Firefox (it's XHTML compliant), but displays a blank page in IE (which will unfortunatly be how it is most often accessed). Could someone have a look at the site and see if there's anything wrong with it?

It also makes heavy use of javascript, so if it looks like a javascript problem, I'll ask again in the javascript forum.

The page is:

http://www.housing.latrobe.edu.au/connections/login.php (the actual page that does not display)

I think it's because you didn't close the script tags properly. I think they should be like -

<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/md5.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/sha1.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/functions.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/appointments.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/help.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/roomSelect.js"></script>

Instead of -

<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/prototype.js" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/md5.js" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/sha1.js" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/functions.js" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/appointments.js" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/help.js" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/roomSelect.js" />

I would have thought IE would recognize the XHTML way of closing tags. I know it recognizes it for some tags (It works with <br />).

Now I just have to debug my javascript to work for both platforms :P

The XHTML way of closing tags only works for 'empty' tags such as image tags, and <br /> tags. :)

Ahh, thanks :) At least that bit of code was in a header file, so I only have to change it in one place.
