Well, my digitools teacher said if I made the school website, I wouldn't have to do the quarterly essay, and since I love web designing, it's a win-win choice. Anyway, I only made the front page, the links to other pages are the old pages, and yes, my digitools teacher created them. Oh and if anyone asked I typed the page on "Home row". My teacher is always getting on me for that ;). Also, I am getting a chance to do the other pages so sit tight and I will ask for a review on them as well. I have good ideas for some of the pages.
Without further ado, My school website. (http://www.singleparadox.com/ballou/)

Anyone want to give a crack at it? I know that it doesn't validate :(

first thing. man i wish they had classes like that when I was in school.
okay the drop downs are off in Mozilla. They line up correct in IE6 though. You might look into the line height of the 4 main links across the top. they sit at the very top of the box they're in. maybe centering them vertically will help out the look.
Graphically is where it goes off. The moutnisn bear and 'allou jr. high' are real grainy.
I'd give the whole container a right and left border. The tiled bcakground image just doesn't seem to fit very well.

You don't have a Doctype so IE is running in quirks mode.
To be honest, I'm not really a fan. Colours are drab (and that background is eurgh...) and as harbingerOTV mentioned, the graphics are poor. It reminds me of a site from the late 90's, albeit trying to use a modern layout.
I'd have a go at using some more (and different) colours, and changing the font.
