hit counters ?

heyy...these geocities ppl used to give some nice fancy hitcounters...whr can I get such free counters ?
I like searched a bit, but most places just have site tracking tools. I was looking for nice fancy counters...ok not fancy...even plain numbers will do to:)

depending if your host accepts server side langauges, DIY (do it yourself) that way you wront be forced to use big counters with loads of copyright banners. if it doetn though you can get cool tools at www.bravenet.com

They are both free, and are pretty kewl.

hmmm.....I actually have like 3 scripts with me right now. but all of them work on server extensions which are not ssupported by my host I think.

I use a free counter from:
http://www.sitemeter.com
As well as the usual stats and averages it tells you where the person came from, timezones people are in, browsers, css compat, png compat and so on and so on.
There are also a few different styles to choose from to show how it appears on your page.
