I can view the source of a page, and it comes up in Notepad fine. But, once I close out Notepad, I can not view the source again. I click "View Source" and nothing at all happens. I am on Windows XP, using IE 6.0. I have signed off and then back on, but that didnt help. I have also restarted my computer multiple times. Both IE and Notepad work fine, no problems at all. I dont think that I have installed any new programs that would do this. All thats been installed lately is a few games. Any suggestions as to what I should do or what the problem may be? Perhaps a setting in IE was somehow changed that has something to do with the cache? Any help would be much appreciated. Please.

Mhmm.. I have also run into this problem. I have Win2000 and IE 5.5
Doesn't happen anymore tho --
I know that doesn't help you too much :D
Assuming right-mouse 'View Source' doesn't work either?? If the menu 'View' "View Source" doesn't.
I'll be around to see what answers, if any ^.^ show up.

Neither Right-Click or "View" works, so I have no way to view any source code. Is there another way for me to get the source of a page? Perhaps a site that can pull the source off the page for me? Any help would be appreciated. =)
Revelle, how long did the problem last? Did it simply correct itself?

you could "Save" the page :D onto your desktop and then look at the code with notepad. -- open notepad, then open the web page with it --
And about the problem I had, to be honest I don't know how it was solved... all I know is one day, it worked and that was that.
Never happened again.

Hmm... perhaps try installing EditPad Lite (www.jgsoft.com) or HTML-KIT (www.html-kit.com) and see if the same thing happens with those - both of them should give you an option to always view source using them.
(Or you should see the option on your toolbar to edit with the program).
