Hi I'm new to these forums, but I've been messing around with htaccess for a while... Yesterday I was messing around with some things on the guide to .htaccess on javascriptkit.com... I tried one of the thing (forgot which one) and then .htaccess stopped working... I stopped the apache service then started it and it didnt work... I tried putting the default httd.conf back... and i tried various .htaccess things... I tried even very simple things and for some reason they never work... I even uninstalled apache and reinstalled it. It is still messed up... If someone could please tell me what happened and maybe some idea of what i did so i avoid doing it again i would be very thankful. I run my own apache 2.0.55 server on a windows xp media center edition computer

edit: Well no one helped but i found out what was wrong... lol it was something to do with my httpd.conf file...
