I'm a newbie here, so go easy on me...

Just kidding, I would appreciate honest opinions....I think it's not so bad for being all HTML with a few JS mouse rollovers...

But what do I know...

Only the top two links work so far!

Thanks everyone!

I know the server sucks, so sorry if it is slow.

oh yeah, I'm also parannoid about the colors I chose, I used a program called "ColorPicker" and the blue and red dont seem to go together as well as I thought they would, but it might be because I'm so used to seeing it? ? I don't know...anyways thanks again for advice and opinions

Hmmm, i think the red and blue work nicely; maybe the blue could be a little greyer to stand out a bit less.
Overall a very nice, clean site, easily navigable; there is however a difference between the page behind link 1 and 2 (borders).
The rollovers on the starting page are great, but i wonder why you chose a very different kind of button on the other two pages; also, i'm not sure what the function, or added value, of the starting page is. I personally am not to keen on splash pages, but that's just me. Great graphic too, by the way.

I am not much of a fan about the annoying and irritating adverts and pop-ups. But that is just me.

Good work tho.

i agree with ronald. the buttons should be the same type throughout. anyway, in my opinion, whatever u do with them, the buttons should certainly not blur when u mouseover them.

and this is my very personal opinion, but i think i've seen more than enough of that red color than i can bear...

Beutiful site. Easy Navigation and professional look. Only thing I would change is the color on the moseovertext for the "Scehdule Appointment". My thinking is that if the "Schedule Appt" is in red, the mouseover text should be as well. Just my 2 cents. Great job.

Thanks again for all the input everyone...

I don't know what I was thinking with the blurring mouse-overs...thought it looked interesting, but my g/f quickly let me know it sucked.

I'm working on new buttons right now....should I keep the basic button the same and just make new rollovers?

Or just create all new buttons?

Thanks again

I think the buttons, themselves, are totally fine!!

Look out, I've got a headache. I'll try and be nice.

1) Splash: nice & clean. However: no point whatsoever to the rollover buttons ("Ten reasons to get detailed">"Top ten reasons to get your car detailed now!"); also, the image sizes (default/roll) don't seem to match. The 'price lists' arrow jumps.

2) I love that deep red - but not the blue BG. Try something more in the same family.
3) Your girlfriend is right.

4) 'Before' & 'after' pics mismatched - and too small. Car looked better 'before' to me.

5) The copy needs some work; it's too hard sell, for my taste:

Stop wasting your Sunday afternoons in carwash waiting rooms. Stop taking your car to a detail shop, leaving you without a ride for hours or days. With Barresi Custom Auto Detailing, we'll come to you! Relax in the comfort of your home while we detail your automobile at your premises. We will make your car look better than new, while never leaving a mess.

Nobody leaves a mess at my premises and lives to talk about it. How much better than new could that be? Aargh...

OK, sorry. Got the makings of a nice, quick-loading, crisp site. Keep at it (in the comfort of your home).

cheers, adios :D

hey Adios:

I've since changed the buttons...except on main page, thanks for pointing out the jumping "pricelist" arrow, didn't notice that!

what exactly do you mean by the colors being "in the same family"?

I used a program called color picker to pick those two colors, supposedly the red and blue "compliment" each other, but I don't know...

how would I find the exact blue to match that red??

Thanks for the help!

haha! That looks great! Thanks Adios...I'll have to change it!

Hey how the heck did you make a border only on the title row of the table??? I'd love to know how to do that!

Thanks!

Thanks again Adios!

You're giving me some great ideas!

Looks like your really good at javascript, maybe you can help me with the main "splash" page....

I wanted to make the window be there at a set height and width, without the scroll bar...what would the code be for that?

I love the colors you chose for that sample page, but I'm curious what the page would look like with a white background, with a blue (#000099) "double" line border around the entire table.

Maybe this would be less "flashy" than my current blue background, would I just enter the style set into the beginning of the table code?

Also thought that colored scroll bar was really cool!

You seem like the professional, thats why I'm asking;)

Thanks again Adios!

...white background, with a blue (#000099) "double" line border around the entire table.
Yech.

Try this:

<body background="http://216.40.241.209/textures/ss/ss033.gif" text="#000000" onLoad="MM_preloadImages.........

Many more possibilities/ideas here (http://www.grsites.com/textures/).

Get back to you on that other item...

Looks fine.

Okay, the popup add is a pain in the ar5e but with another host you can get rid of that.

Text is clear and easy to read, colors are okay. The menu on the homepage is nice and I suggest having the same menu within the site.

Good luck with the site and the company!

New background: .
Use it, and no one will let you near their car.

OK, my last effort is below. :D

Really isn't a 'splash' page but an index page; I'd skip the pop-up (enough of them already) and trade those silly 'button' rollovers for a 'Caddy' rollover, if you get my drift. Stick some low-bandwith text descriptions (images) in there to replace the big image, and roll the buttons over for the arrow change.

Hey - I'm over in Marin...how 'bout getting my car to it's original deep blue? Oh, yeah, it's silver...but still...
