which is best to do ??
im having some problems now with my pages and im just wondering if its any better to have the css code on each page instead of an external css.

External, it saves you the time from having to edit each css on each page if you decided to make a change.

ok, but then i should have no css code in my html then ?
just the <link href="css/basic.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" />
in the <head> tag ...
could you not help me just alittle on msn quickly ... i wont take up alot of your time i promise:thumbsup: .. much needed help =/ i need my site complete within 2 weeks ...i have people already advertising for me and bringing me work and it doesnt look good when they check out the site and lots of stuff are still missing or wrong ...

I don't give personal help on messengers sorry. If you have a question post here others will answer it. I am NOT the only person on the forums. No you shouldn't have any style tags in your html, just link to the external CSS.

External CSS is much better - internal CSS kind of diminishes the point of using CSS in the first place.
External = quicker loading times as the file is cached, you can edit the style of all pages at once.
