Hell knows what number design this is, but I'm diggin' it more than some of my previous attempts.
Please comment on both the wireframe (http://img281.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1wireframe3ni.png) and colour mockup (http://img330.imageshack.us/my.php?image=2mockup9xs.png).
I'm open to any suggestions. :)

That's amazing, just shows how powerful colour can be

I don't completely like that shade of brown... Probably worth playing around with different shades of brown...
And why 508? That's US law, not British...

Looking good to me. Let's see it in action!

I think the first one is too plain with no colour as it's basis, however the coloured one's very nice ..:)..

Kezzer, Chris, Jamie: Thanks :)
Geoffers: I'll give it a go - the colours are taken from various colour schemes on COLOURlovers (http://colourlovers.com/) - a site which is definitely worth bookmarking. Don't know why I put 508, was probably doing somethng else at the same time.
I'd thought about having a structure style sheet, colours for FF, Saf., etc. and then a B/W style sheet for IE (similar to what Malarkey (http://stuffandnonsense.co.uk/) does). Any better ideas/comments?

Instead of that brown, what about #464742? Just a thought.
Aside from colour, I think it needs a more rigid right wall. The right-side column doesn't line up with the right edge of the image and looks arbitrarily placed.
May need more pronounced divisions of the three major sections (header, content, and sidebar). Could do that with colour alone though, if you wanted. Simple and open works too, of course. Just ideas :)
