ie is being difficult

it's internet explorer, it ****s it up., as you will see in the first picture, it looks normal in mozilla and dreamweaver, but the second on is how it looks on ie. that's one of the errors, the border also looks weird. how can i fix this?

You are missing a proper doctype. Without one, IE is in quirks mode. Put one in and then validate your code for any errors.
