Anyone has an idea of how to set up a server?

sorry to ask a stupid question here.Do anyone know how to set up a server for ASP?It is because my company is using window ME and not 2000.So in order to run asp. We were thinking of having one more hard disk as a server itself to run this asp.Is it possible?

An interesting article. I remember my own efforts to get PWS running on ME, and my subsequent re-installation of Win 98.

It may be that you find this easy. I didn't, and would recommend that you get a better OS - Win2000 server, for example - partly because running it as a server is going to be easier and more reliable, and partly because WinME is an inherently unreliable OS; if you're storing valuable information on there, or rely on it for your operations, it's worth investing in something less likely to fall over.

Hehe... that's funny as I remember my attempted installation of PWS on Windohs 98 SE - and my subsequent reinstallation of said OS (after having to format my hard drive!!!).

After what you just said I'll stick with my host as I'm running Win ME right now, lol - (not to mention I am not going to use this computer as a server until I build my next machine, since I like to play first person shooters and I don't like ANYTHING running in the background to take up system resources!).

Once I build the monster, I'm going to convert this machine to a server (although I haven't decided whether to use ASP and IIS or PHP running on Linux - from what I've seen, I really like Linux and one of these days I gotta try it out!).

Sorry i have to try to install PWS on ME.And i run into these errors while installing the component.IT give me some error code such as 0xfee670 and 0x00000485.And some createIISpackage could not be run.Can anyone help me?thanks alot.
