Locking CD-ROM contents

Is it possible to control CD read , write with password or validation program ?
I wanna control the content with password when reading or also writing if possible .
Which software do i use ? is there any kind of software avilable ?

If you want to prevent writing, just finalize the disc when you burn it and data more data can't be written.

I dont know of a way to do this on a CD, but there is software out there that will allow you to do that for a USB Memory Key (memory stick, pen drive, flash key or whatever you want to call it)

It's called flashkey
