Hello. It's nothing special, just HTML but thanks in advance if you are able to help. I really want your comments be they good or bad but I am also after something else if possible. Can anyone help me find out how THIS WEBSITE (http://www.catsnaps.co.uk) works in different browsers with different screen set-ups?

Thanks again, I'd also be really interested to hear from anyone who wants to add content.

for some reason my webstats indicate quite a few Error 404's Page Not found. I am not sure of the reason for this but just wanted to give you a heads up

Well on my screen you've got a black website hovering in the top left of a big white expanse of nothing... Not good, IMO.

A little thought required for those with bigger resolutions, perhaps?

A good comment, thank you... There is quite a bit of bare space on my screen too but on a 15" 1024x768 it fits more or less perfectly... Give or take a few pixels. I would want people having to scroll sideways all the time if I can help it but maybe a more suitable background colour with water mark might help?

Other things that I have since found out (that might happen) Cell backgrounds might not load (top and bottom left corners) and the orange roll-over hyperlink effect might not work. Thanks for pointing these out if they happen to you.

Thanks again Pennimus

It looks fine in N7.2, IE6, FF, and O8.5. both in 1024*768 and 800*600.
In Mozilla there is a problem with the width of the cells.
here the cell with picture of Casper is about 200px wide showing the picture about 1.7 times and the image is not animated

the size of the cell can be solved by setting a width for the middle cell.
and AFAIK Mozilla do not support animated gifs.

the x's that you have in your links (1x Cat Video) is only shown in NN and Mozilla

Excellent, that is spot on info, thanks very much. I am a bit lost on the last bit though. Do you mean you are getting red X's (image not found) where the thumbnails should be? If so, should I assume that this is a browser thing?

EDITED: Never Mind... i have clicked on now and completely understand what you were saying, Thanks

Thanks again

Microsoft Office? Did you happen to use word to design your page or maybe publisher? Why?

lol because it was quick and easy, FrontPage that is!

I needed something quick as part of a birthday present but I will do 100 push ups as punishment for using FP.

What gave it away? Don't tell me... View/Source?

Bingo. Maybe if you made the bgcolor black and centered the layout it would be okay.

The background is now a lot easier on the eye.

FrontPage has been a complete pig but at the same time it has really served it's purpose. I can hand the site over in a few days knowing that she will have no trouble updating and keeping it looking ok. I had another thought as well... I don't suppose that many people who use the site will be experienced web-authors. The lousy FP code shouldn't annoy your average Cats Protection League Supporter, I don't think many users will be any the wiser. STOP PRESS: Usefulness from Microsoft!?

Thanks again for the suggestions.

I'm still really not keen on that background. If I were you as Aerospace Engineer suggested I would go with a simple black background and center the design, perhaps with a simple 1px white border to delineate it.

Right, I am thinking that the blue probably looks a lot different on my screen which is why I find it ok and some others don't. It looks very dark on my screen but possibly looks very bright on yours, blue is a hard colour to work with.

Thanks again for all your tips everyone, I'm grateful
