I am creating a personal portfolio of my work but the site is very dull.
Can you please give me some input on how I can make it pleasing and
attractive to other audience that is going to be viewing my site.
more graphics, better logo, better fonts (verdana, tahoma, arial etc)

there is too much writing

Hmm. Reminds me of some of my old work... I'd design a header, then build the rest with HTML and CSS. Always looked unfinished. I'd suggest doing the entire thing in Photoshop (or what have you) and then work on bringing that into HTML and CSS. The header's nice, but the rest looks like an afterthought.

I dont think its that bad. Just change the font's and then post again it should make a big difference.
Get rid of the Home text as well, dont think you need it.

I like the design the way it is. Maybe little things like a change in font will help, but I really don't think thost kinds of things are necessary. The site has a good strong layout with clear navigation and readable text. Might want to add a few alt attributes, though. I would use a more attractive and modern font (Tahoma, Verdana) and remove the W3 logo. This is your site, not theirs!
